  • Her husband died when her children were very young. Therefore she had to raise her family alone. She did not have much money. Her son Giro immigrated to America, and sent for her.2
  • Giovanna lived in Paterson, New Jersey, with her two sons. Her son Giro had bought the house for her.5,1
  • She immigrated on the ship Providence which sailed from Naples Italy and arrived in NY. arriving on 9 Feb 1921.5,1
  • Giovanna Jannaccone appeared on the 1930 Federal Census of Fairlawn, Bergen County, New Jersey, at 83 Pamona Ave, enumerated 8 Apr 1930, Jenny owned her home, valued at $6,000.3
