She was Director of the 20th Century Club, a Member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Women Managers for the Pan American Exposition held in Buffalo in 1901 and a Charter Member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). The First Presbyterian Church on Symphony Circle houses a plaque honoring both William & Eleanor Rogers for their support.4

  • He married Eleanor Root Silliman, daughter of Benjamin Silliman and Susan Huldah Forbes, in 1884.1
  • Aside from his association as the senior member of the firm of Rogers, Brown & Company, he is at the present time president of The Buffalo and Susquehanna Iron Company, The Tonawanda Iron and Steel Company, The Punxsutawney Iron Company, The Rogers Iron Mining Company, and the Monro Iron Mining Company; vice-president of The Iroquois Iron Company, of Chicago, The Cascade Coal and Coke Company, and The Buffalo and Susquehanna Steamship Company.

    He is also director in The Cleveland Furnace Company, The Rogers-Brown Ore Company, the Marine National Bank, the Erie County Savings Bank, and a trustee in the Young Men's Christian Association.1
