Biography

  • Honor Newton was born s 1565.2
  • She married John Rockwell, son of William Rockwell and Miriam Wyke, on Friday, 19 Jul 1585 in England.1
  • Honor Newton died on 21 Aug 1637 and was buried in Fitzhead, Somerset, England.1
  • She left a will dated 19 Jul 1637 in Dorchester, Dorsetshire, England. She leaves 12 pence apiece to "...all my grandchildren in New England, both sonnes and daughters of Richard Rockwell, William Rockwell, and John Rockwell." At this point Richard has died, so perhaps some of his children went to America with their uncles (John or maybe William).1

  • Richard Rockwell was born s 1586, in Fitzhead, Somerset, England.1
  • He died in 1637 before his mother, who wrote her will 19 Jul 1637.1
  • Honor Newton Rockwell (Richard's mother) left 12 pence apiece to "...all my grandchildren in New England, both sonnes and daughters of Richard Rockwell, William Rockwell, and John Rockwell." At this point Richard has died, so perhaps some of his children went to America with their uncles (John or maybe William).1
