    Mildred Solveig Pellet, 89, Middleton, Wis., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 1995. She was born in Oslo, Norway, and immigrated to America in 1915. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1924; and was a registered nurse in California for 20 years retiring in 1974. She married Charles H. Pellet in Duluth in 1927. She moved to Madison in 1978. She was a member of a Methodist church and a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star 378 of East Chicago, Ind. Her parents were Mathias and Munda Monsen Wasdahl. Her husband, Charles H., died previously. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Manzer of Madison; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. Private family services will be held at a later date in Forest Hill Cemetery in Duluth. Arrangements are by Gunderson Funeral Home in Middleton, Wis.1

    MADISON - Patricia Manzer, age 77, was taken to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born on Nov. 23, 1929, in Duluth, Minnesota, the daughter of Howard and Mildred (Wasdahl) Pellet. She grew up in East Chicago, Indiana and went to Frances Shimer College in Illinois. In 1951 Patricia was united in marriage to O.B. Manzer. She raised her family and worked at the family business in Madison. She had a variety of interests including friends, sewing, cooking, crafts, home decorating and furniture re-upholstering. She loved doing crafts with her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring person who loved life. Patricia's love of her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter were absolute. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, O. B. Manzer; a son, Rayce; a daughter, Marcia (Bill) Nebel, all of Madison; two grandchildren, Lauren Nebel and Erika Otis; a great-granddaughter, Rayne Otis; a cousin, Rolf (Freid) Johansen of Norway; her dearest friend, Jane Anderson of Madison; and Ernie Walder of Naples, Florida. Patricia's family would like to thank the Ingelside Nursing Home in Mount Horeb and the UW Hospital of Madison for their caring staffs. We would like to give special thanks to the loving and caring staff of the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. They were a blessing for Patricia in her last few months. She will be greatly missed by the lives she touched. Burial services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1 Speedway Road, Madison at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

    MADISON
    Othel B. "O.B." Manzer, age 98, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at HospiceCare Inc. in Fitchburg. He was born on June 6, 1911, in Joplin, Mo. He was one of nine children born to Walter Emert and Ollie Bertha (Luttes) Manzer. The family moved to Colorado where they homesteaded and built a sod house. They later moved to Oklahoma where O.B. graduated from high school in 1929 and won the Oklahoma High School State Wrestling Tournament. He owned a small chain of photography studios in Tennessee and Oklahoma. On April 7, 1951, he married Patricia Pellet. They moved to Madison, and with the help of his wife Pat, he owned and operated Warner-Medlin Photography Studio here for 25 years. After retiring, O.B. and Pat moved to Mesa, Ariz., where he took up the hobby of silversmithing and jewelry-making. They soon returned to Madison, where he loved spending time with his granddaughters. O.B. is survived by his two children, Rayce Manzer of Madison, and Marcia (Bill) Nebel of Fitchburg; granddaughters, Erika Otis and Lauren Nebel; and a great-granddaughter, Rayne Otis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Pat; and eight brothers and sisters. Private services will be held for O.B. per his own wishes. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711. The family would like to thank the caring staff at HospiceCare Inc. for all their compassion and care.
