She was born in Newdale, Idaho on July 18, 1927, the fifth of seven children born to Lee Addison Bean and Edith Siddoway. Due to extreme complications during childbirth, Elizabeth was not expected to be born alive, so several names were put in a hat to be drawn and no middle name was ever chosen. Fortunately, she flourished, and in her seventh year, the house in which she was born was moved by "Happy, the House Mover- the best house mover by a dam site" to a potato farm in Teton, Idaho, where she spent the rest of her youth with her loving family. Elizabeth graduated from University of Idaho in 1950 and began work as a Laboratory Technician in Idaho Falls. There she met Robert Stanley Fiedler on a golfing blind date. Robert later said the best score he ever got on the golf course was his wife. They married in 1955, had one child, Robin, and moved to Boise in 1965. They had a wonderful circle of friends in Boise. Together they enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, golfing, camping, avoiding snakes, and taking cruises. Liz is remembered by all that knew her for her sweet nature, her sense of humor, unassuming ways and immense love for her family. Her husband Robert precedes her in death as well as her brothers (The "Bean Boys") Douglas, Merlin, Russell, "Little" Lee and her sisters, Helen (Watson) and Miriam. She is survived by daughter Robin (Mark) Wellhouser, grandchildren Sarah Elizabeth and Rand Michael as well as many loving nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 21st, at 11:00 am at Terrace Lawn Memorial Garden, 4225 East Fairview, Boise, Idaho.
