    Thelma Wilkins Barlow, our loving sister, passed away in Salt Lake City after an extended illness on February 24, 1990.

    She was born August 4, 1902 in Coalville, Utah to ElRoy B. Wilkins and Nellie M. Eldredge Wilkins.

    She married Herbert Barlow on August 1, 1927; he died on June 24, 1960.

    She moved to Roosevelt with her family at four years of age and resided there for the rest of her life. Her life was devoted to her home and her husband, with a large portion for her brothers and sister. She was active in the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary, and was an active member in the LDS Church, serving as Primary teacher and as visiting teacher for many years. She enjoyed her flower garden and working in her yard, as well as crocheting and tatting and was an excellent cook.

    Her family and friends will always remember Thelma as a kind friend and loving person, with always a kind word and understanding heart.

    She is survived by a brother, Marrell F. Wilkins, and a sister, Mrs. Evelyne Johnson and loving nieces and nephews.

    Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 1990 at 11 a.m. in the Roosevelt Fourth Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary on Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. and on Thursday at the Church one hour prior to the services.

    Burial will be in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.

    ROOSEVELT--Nell Etta Odekirk Wilkins, age 90, died February 3, 1996 at her home.
    She was born June 23, 1905 in Vernal, Utah to Charles Isaac and Susan Etta McConkie Odekirk. She married Paul Wilkins, August 17, 1927 in Price, he died April 23, 1979. They were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. She had two sons, Kirk and Calvin who preceded her in death.
    She was a member of the LDS Church. She was a pink lady for over 10 years, belonged to Help Line and received the 1977 B.P.W. Woman of the Year Award. She loved hunting and fishing and spent many hours gardening in her yard.
    She is survived by four grandchildren, Paul C. Wilkins, Roosevelt; Caleen and Jeffrey Lee, Seattle, Washington; Kirk and Anna Wilkins, Neola and Gordon K. Wilkins, Salt Lake City; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Roosevelt LDS Stake Center, 447 E. Lagoon Street. Friends may call at the Hullinger-Olpin Mortuary, Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park.

Kirk C Wilkins1

  • Kirk C Wilkins was born on 29 Nov 1925, in Dechesne, Utah.1
  • He graduated from Brigham Young University c 1942.
  • Kirk served in the Navy during WW II in the amphibious service. He left in 1946, and re-entered in 1949.1
  • He died on 12 Jul 1954 in China at age 28.1
  • He was killed while serving on the USS Boxer, in a flying accident off the South China Coast.1
  • He was buried at the Roosevelt Memorial Park in Roosevelt, Utah, Kirk was lost at sea; his body was never recovered. The memorial marker was placed in the cemetery.1

    Evelyne Alma Johnson, 91, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away October 14, 2004 in Sandy, Utah. Born July 16, 1913, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Nellie Eldredge and Elroy Barney Wilkins. Early years were growing up in Roosevelt and subsequently graduating from University of Utah. Following graduation from U of U, she completed training at the Bishop Johnson School of Nursing, graduating and receiving a credential as a registered nurse. During this time she met and married her eternal companion of 63 years, Clyde L. Johnson. Her nursing career began as county public nurse for the State of Utah. When the family moved to Los Altos, California, in 1953, she served as supervisor of nursing at Santa Clara Co. Valley Medical Center until she retired. Upon retirement the family moved to Kanab, Utah, and later to Sandy, Utah. She was a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survived by son Larry M. Johnson (Judy) and daughter Rebecca Jones (Mark), three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.   • Clyde studied piano and voice in Vienna and Salzburg for three years.2
  • He was a music teacher in Vernal and Roosevelt UT.2
  • He married Evelyn Alma Wilkins, daughter of Elroy Barney Wilkins and Nellie Eldredge, on Wednesday, 31 May 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah.1
  • Clyde Lambert Johnson was a member of the LDS church.2
  • He graduated from USC University s 1941 with a masters degree in music.2
  • He created and directed a children's choir that was famous throughout Utah.2
  • In 1953 Clyde and Evelyn moved to Los Altos, California, with their family.3
  • Clyde Lambert Johnson died on 15 Aug 2001 in Sandy, Utah, at age 90.2
  • He was buried at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.2

    Clyde Lambert Johnson, 90, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away August 15, 2001 in Sandy, Utah.

    Born April 6, 1911 in Lewiston, Utah to Lulu Egbert and Nephi S. Johnson. His formative years were spent in this area where he graduated from Cache Valley High School, Utah State and began a teaching career in music. He spent three years in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria studying piano and vocal. Resuming his teaching career in Roosevelt and Vernal, Utah he met and married his eternal companion, Evelyne Wilkins in the Salt Lake Temple. His teaching career continued with the completion of a masters degree in music at USC University and was highlighted by the creation and direction of a children's choir that was known throughout the state of Utah and an untold number of students who went on to achieve honors in the field of music. His teaching career continued when the family moved to Los Altos California in 1953 and continued until his retirement, at which time they moved to Kanab, Utah where they lived until recently, moving to Sandy, Utah. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many position including Stake missionary.

    He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyne of 63 years; Larry (Judy) Johnson, Rebecca (Mark) Jones; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother.

    Funeral and interment will be held Saturday August 18, 2001 at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary/Chapel 10600 S. 1700 E. Sandy, Utah where friends may call one hour prior to services.
