  • On 5 Feb 1900 John enlisted in the National Guard at Rochester New York. He was in Co. H. 3rd NY Infantry (Co. H. 108th Infantry). Discharged on 12 Sep 1917 due to dependent relatives.3
  • On 3 May 1901 John enlisted in the US Army Spanish-American War for 3 years as a private in Troop F, 12th Cavalry. On 5 Aug 1902 he was dishonorably discharged (per par 1, SO 141, Dept Texas.4 )
  • In 1910 John Warren Sargent was a driver for grocery delivery.2
  • He appeared on the 1910 Federal Census of Rochester, Monroe County, New York in the household of his father Daniel W Sargent, He and his father were boarding in the house of Amelia S Humphrey.2
