EAST WENATCHEE - Alfreda E. "Freda" Harvey, 82, a resident of the Wenatchee Valley and formerly the Campbell River area of British Columbia, Canada, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20, 1996, at Highline Convalescent Center in East Wenatchee.
She was born March 20, 1913, to Frederick and Anna (Schwotzer) Sinclair in Brewer, Maine. She grew up and attended school in Lebanon, Maine, and in 1930 moved to Wenatchee.
On Oct. 24, 1932, she married Carl E. "Ernie" Kruse in Wenatchee and in 1945 they moved to Bellingham. In 1963 she returned to Wenatchee. On Aug. 5, 1964, she married Larry Harvey in Idaho, and they moved to the Campbell River area to make their home. Following the death of her husband in 1994, she returned to the Wenatchee Valley.
Mrs. Harvey was a charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Wenatchee and the Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Gordon (Marlene) Dyment of East Wenatchee; two sisters, Carlotta Holland of Wenatchee and Phyllis Crane of Edmonds; one brother, Richard Sinclair of Rock Island; five grandchildren, Anna Nelson of Seattle, Susan Hendrickson of Wenatchee, Eric Hendrickson of Wenatchee, Carla Wilson of Benton City, Ark., and John Coots of Boise, Idaho; also six great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son, Paul Kruse, in 1976, two sisters and two brothers.
