Unite was in the Revolutionary War. He was a private in Capt Blaney's company, which marched by order of Cpl Gardner on the alarm of 19 Apr 1775, to Watertown. He served 1 day. Also he was a Sergeant in Cpt Hatch's company 37th regiment. At that time he returned to Malden 6 Oct 1775. Also he was a Capt in Col Thomas Crafts' Artillery regiment. That company reported as Boston militia stationed at Hull from 26 Jul 1777 to 11 Sep 1777, service of 47 days.²
Unite married Hannah Sprague, daughter of Phineas Sprague and Hannah Gould, on 6 April 1776 in Malden, Massachusetts.¹
Unite Cox died on 16 November 1816 in Malden, Massachusetts, at age 64.¹
