Obituary:
Edna (Porter) Hartsock, 91, formerly of Mansfield, Pa., passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the loving wife of the late John L. Hartsock who passed away on March 31, 2005. The couple married in 1940 and had 65 happy years together. Family and friends are welcome to call from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, at the Gerald W. Vickery Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main St., Troy, Pa. The memorial service to honor Edna's life will be held at 2 p.m. on May 22, with Rev. Jasper Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in Glenwood Cemetery. Edna was born on Nov, 18, 1918 in Windfall, Pa., daughter of the late Carson and Eliza (Bourne) Porter. She helped manage Hartsock's Bakery with her husband John and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mansfield. Edna is survived by her son, Michael J. (Roshelle) Hartsock of Wayland, Mich.; her sons-in-law, Lamar G. Haflett and Edward Henry; her grandchildren, Cassandra Butters, Christine Letts, Stephanie Hartsock, Alyson Hartsock, Mark Henry, Craig Henry and Linda Wells; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her daughters, Constance Henry and Diane Haflett; her grandson, Donald Henry; her brothers, Rexford and Harry Porter; and her sister, Ruth Porter (Daily Review, Towanda, Pennsylvania, May 11, 2010).
