Frederick C. Borders Jun. 28, 1928 - Feb. 26, 2014 NORTHWOOD, NH. - Frederick C. Borders, 85, of Northwood, NH, died February 26, 2014 at Epsom Health Care Center. He was born on June 28, 1928 in Saugus, MA, to Snow and Margie (Lathrop) Borders. Fred grew up in Foster, RI, attending school there and graduating from Coventry High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a sixty year member of Moriah Lodge Masonic Order of Brooklyn and of the Eastern Star. Fred was also a former member of the Danielson Lodge of Elks in Danielson and the South Killingly Fire Department in South Killingly. Fred was a tree surgeon and owned and operated the Tennett Tree Service for many years in Windham, CT. Upon moving to New Hampshire, he worked for Merriam-Graves Corporation for 26 years. He leaves his beloved wife of 63 years, Nancy (Tennett) Borders of Northwood, NH; his loving children, Norman and Laurice Borders of Danielson, Carl Borders of Northwood, NH, and Paul and Sue Borders of Meredith, NH; four precious grandchildren, Rhiannon Borders and husband Chris Anderson of St. Louis, MO, Nathan Borders and wife Christie of Plainfield, Megan Borders of Meredith, NH and Brian Borders of Meredith, NH; two great-grandchildren, Cassidy Anderson and Olivia Borders; a brother, Henry Borders and wife Miriam of Danielson, and many nieces and nephews. Fred was predeceased by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

MEREDITH – Nancy T. Borders, 86, of Meredith, died Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Concord Hospital. She was born on March 27, 1931, in Putnam, Conn., to Norman and Elizabeth (Butterworth) Tennett of Danielson, Conn. Nancy grew up in Danielson, attending school there and graduating from Killingly High School. She married the love of her life, husband Fred, in April of 1950.
During the early years of their marriage, Fred served in the Army. They lived in Virginia for a short time until Fred left to serve in the Korean Conflict. At that time, Nancy returned to Danielson, where she and Fred settled and raised their family. Nancy was a longtime Eastern Star Member, and a former Matron. For many years, Nancy ran the office of the Tennett Tree Service, first for her father and then after she and husband Fred purchased the business. Nancy also worked as a remedial reading instructor at Killingly Central School. She was an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Danielson, serving on numerous committees in a variety of positions.
After moving to Northwood in 1976, Nancy worked as a district manager for the Concord Monitor. She then worked for Rich's Department Store until she retired in 1991.
Nancy is predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Frederick C. Borders, who passed away in 2014, her loving son, Carl D. Borders with whom she lived until he passed away suddenly in the fall of 2015, and her sister, Norma Snider of Wayne, N.J.
Nancy moved to Meredith in 2015, where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law. She leaves behind her loving children, Norman and Laurice Borders of Danielson, Conn. and Paul and Sue Borders of Meredith; four precious grandchildren, Rhiannon Borders of St. Louis, Nathan Borders and wife Kristy of Moosup, Conn., Megan Borders of Fremont and Brian Borders of Portland, Maine; four great-grandchildren, Cassady Anderson of St. Louis and Olivia, Bryn and Laney Borders of Moosup, Conn.; a sister, Valerie Caron of Westborough, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
A service honoring Nancy's life will be held in the Chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
