Roberta J. Phillips, 78, of Cedar Mills in Adams County died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman. She was born April 6, 1935, in Pontiac Oakland, Mich.
She was a former waitress, and shop and factory worker in Michigan. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Adams Branch near Winchester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh L. Phillips; her parents, Robert B. and Margaret A. (McKiddle) Acker; and a son, Kevin Holder.
She is survived by two sons; a daughter of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two step-sons; three step-daughters; two brothers; two sisters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was Sunday, Aug. 25, at 3 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Adams Branch) near Winchester under the direction of Lafferty Funeral Home of West Union. President Rick Staub officiated. The visitation was Aug. 25 from 2 to 3 p.m. The interment was at West Union Cemetery.
