PHOEBE STOLP BAILEY
Abridged: Phoebe STOLP was born June 3, 1857, at Frankfort, Illinois and died at Oakdale, Nebraska, August 4, 1909. In June 1871, she came with her parents to Antelope County settling 3 miles north of Oakdale. On March 15, 1864, she married William E. BAILEY at Neligh. A few years later, they moved to Ewing, Nebraska and then to Oelrichs, South Dakota. She contracted cancer and about two weeks before her death was brought to the home of her sister, Mrs Katharine SNIDER in Oakdale. She is survived by her husband and seven children; L. D. BAILEY of Orchard, F. E. BAILEY of Oelrichs, South Dakota, O. V. BAILEY of Chadron, Jessie M. WHITNEY of Battle Creek, Alma GOODEN of Hot Springs, South Dakota, L. G. and Olive BAILEY of Oelrichs, South Dakota. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church Thursday afternoon, Rev. SHACKLOCK officiating. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery.2
