He married Hannah Burr, daughter of Simon Burr and Hester (née unknown) Burr, on 16 July 1677 in Hingham, Massachusetts.¹
John Record died on 23 January 1712/13 in Pembroke, Massachusetts.¹

Story

John Record, from Weymouth, was a soldier in King Philip's War, 1676. He afterwards came to Hingham and married there, 26 Aug 1677, Mrs. Hanna(Burr) Hobart, widow of John Hobart, and daughter of Simon & Hester Burr, baptized in Hingham 25 Feb 1654/55, died 12 Oct 1683 in her 29th year. He probably returned to Weymouth after the death of his wife, and may have had issue by a later marriage.

The record of his service in the King Philip's Waris found in the NEGHR (Jul 1889) Vol. XL, pps . 264 to 273. Garrissoned at Hadley, John Records, 24 Jul 1676, 9/0/0; and assignment of wages 24Aug 1676, Weymouth Town, John Record, £4. 0s. 0d.
