George Goodwin Jacobson II, 90, recently of Fuquay Varina, NC passed away peacefully on April 1, 2019. in Angier, NC.

He was born in South Coventry, CT on January 20, 1929 to Goodwin W Jacobson and Frances Estella Jacobson (Adams).

He was a lifelong resident of Coventry until 2008 when he moved to North Carolina with his son's family.

He was a lifetime employee of G. Fox & Company in Hartford, CT where he worked as an auto mechanic and later a carpenter.

It was on one of these mornings that he met a young interior decorator named Grace Pereira whom he later married on April 7th, 1951.

They were married 51 years until Grace's passing on March 12, 2002.

George was a history buff and had a great passion for steam locomotives and western novels.

He was a member of St. Mary's church in Coventry.

He is survived by his daughter Michele Jacobson of Bridgeport, CT, his son George, daughter in law Sherrill Klaiman Jacobson, and granddaughter Ana Jacobson of Fuquay Varina NC.

He is predeceased by his wife Grace Pereira Jacobson, brothers Alton Taylor and Walter Jacobson.

A memorial service will be held at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, followed by burial at Cromwell Hillside Cemetery (aka West Cemetery) in Cromwell CT.
