Edward Steffen passed away Feb 3, 2013, at the Palisade Living Center, he was 94.
Ed was born on March 3, 1918, in De Soto, Missouri, one of ten children, from the union of Bertram and Nellie Steffen. He was a United States Air Force Master Sergeant serving in Korea, Japan, Germany and all over the United States.
He married Dorothy Steffen in Montgomery, AL in 1941, they later divorced and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2008. He married Liz Heller and they later divorced.
Ed was a resident of the Grand Junction area for 15 years moving from Bend, OR. He was an inquisitive man who enjoyed aviation and piloting and liked reading a good Zane Gray novel. He was a Bush Pilot in Alaska and part of the Clark County, N Search and Rescue in earlier years.
Ed leaves behind his 2 sons, a daughter, ten grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-granchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Steffen.
