Gertrude or Gertie was born on May 11th, 1875 in the town of Wakefield. She was the daughter of Austin Webster Stevens and Evaline Augusta Fisher. She married Wilfred Felker on September 12th, 1891 in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

After the birth of her son, Austin Wilfred Felker, the two got a divorce in 1899 and she went on to marry a man named Walter Howard Senter. They had many children.

When Walter died she married her employer, Charles Melvin Berry, on September 1st, 1938. Charles had hired her as a housekeeper and the pair eventually got married.

On the night of her death, she had been feeling well until she woke her husband up some time after midnight. She died shortly before help could arrive on March 14th, 1944.
