Scott F. Presbrey, 62, of South Dartmouth, formerly of Taunton and Bayview, South Dartmouth died Monday, December 28, 2009 at his home after a long illness.

Scott F. Presbrey, 62, of South Dartmouth, formerly of Taunton and Bayview, South Dartmouth died Monday, December 28, 2009 at his home after a long illness.
Born April 6, 1947 in Fall River, he was the son of the late Howard and Audrey (Bliss) Presbrey. Scott attended Taunton public schools and graduated with a BA from New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire in 1969. He served in the U. S. Army from 1969 until 1971 as a medic based at Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Scott taught fifth grade in the Taunton School System (first at Maxham Elementary School and then at Mulcahey Middle School) for 35 years before his retirement in 2004. He had a lifelong love of the ocean and the beach. He was especially known for his quick sense of humor and willingness to have a good time.
He is survived by his husband, Daniel Baptista of South Dartmouth, two sisters, Linda Schuessler of Marion and Sally Presbrey of South Dartmouth. three nieces, Jillian Casey and her husband Michael and Amanda Dodge and her husband Benjamin all of Belize, Central America and Melissa Schuessler of Providence, RI, one grandniece, Makayla Casey, two grandnephews, Bryce Casey and Payson Dodge also of Belize.
His Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth St., South Dartmouth. Visiting hours Wednesday 2 to 7 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Road, South Dartmouth. Flowers welcome.
