Mrs. Gulgusky Succumbs at 88
Mrs. Millie L. Gulgusky, 88, of 418 Allen Road, North Syracuse, died yesterday morning at her home. She was a native of Clay and a life resident of the Syracuse area. She was a member of North Syracuse Baptist Church and Centerville Chapter, OES. Survivors are a daughter, Miss Dorothy Allen; a grandson, Richard Allen; a granddaughter, Mrs. Victor Parsnow; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse, the Rev. Edward Stady officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edwin Allen Dies In Truck Accident
Edwin H. Allen, 49, of Allen rd., North Syracuse, was fatally injured yesterday when the truck he was driving crashed over an embankment and burst into flames near Pittsfield, Mass. Mr. Allen, a driver for the Stibbs Transportation Co. of Buffalo, was on his usual Springfield, Mass., to Syracuse run. The accident occurred after the truck left the highway in the Lenor-Pittsfield rd. The North Syracuse man died in Pittsfield’s St. Luke hospital shortly after the crackup. He had been employed by the Stibbs Co. five years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mildred Allen of North Syracuse; a son, Richard E. Allen of East Syracuse; a daughter, Mrs. Victor Parsnow of Syracuse; his mother, Mrs. Millie Gulgusky of North Syracuse; a sister, Miss Dorothy Allen of North Syracuse, and three grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the John F. Butler funeral home, 2104 S. Salina st. Interment will be in North Syracuse cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.

Services for MRS. MILDRED REITANO, 56, who died Monday at her home, 117 Shonnard St., will be conducted at the John G. Butler Funeral Home at 2 p. m. tomorrow, the Rev. George B. Hawthorne, pastor of the Westvale Community Baptist Church, officiating.
Mrs. Reitano was a life resident of Syracuse.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Reitano; a son, Richard E. Allen; a daughter, Mrs. Victor Parsnow; two brothers, John and Howard Saunders, and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery.
Elizabeth Parsnow, age 89, of Mattydale, died Friday, May 23, 2014 at home in Mattydale. Elizabeth was born August 25, 1924 in Syracuse, NY. She is the daughter of the late Edwin and Mildred (Saunders) Allen. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor in 1986. She was employed by B.G. Sulzle. Elizabeth enjoyed vacationing at Brennan Beach with her late husband, Victor, and family She is survived by three daughters, Gloria (John) Dembowski of Liverpool, NY, Sharon Dygert of Mattydale, NY, Judy Claude Fralix; six grandchildren, Butch (Debbie) Fralix, Becky (Ed) Wisnowski, Steven (Lisa) Dembowski, Vicki Wisnowski, Mike (Erin) Fralix, John (April) Dembowski. The funeral will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 29 at Sears-Middleton-Jones Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, North Syracuse, NY with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday, May 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of CNY Liverpool, NY.
