OBITUARY: Christina M. Creighton, 99, of 520 Old Barton Road, Barton, N.Y., died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. Born December 27, 1904 in Wellsburg, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Dexter and Grace Sargent Stanton.

She was operator of the General Store in Barton and was postmaster in Barton for many years until her retirement. She was the oldest member of the Barton United Methodist Church and the Barton Community Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Madalyn Robinson, Barton; four grandchildren, James Robinson, JoAnn Pipher and John and Joseph Robinson; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Leo, on August 21, 1993; two sisters; one brother; and one great-granddaughter, Joelle Robinson.

Friends may call Saturday, December 4, from 11 a.m. to Noon at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 445 Waverly St., Waverly, N.Y. Funeral and committal services will follow Saturday at Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Robert A. Abell of the Barton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Joelle Robinson Scholarship Fund, Tioga Central Schools, Tioga Center, N.Y. 13845, or to one's favorite charity.3

Sharon L McCutcheon age 54, of 3449 Fenderson Street Ext., Painted Post died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Corning Hospital, Corning. Sharon was born in Erie, PA on December 21, 1952, the daughter of Guy D. and Barbara (Henty) McCutcheon. She was a graduate of Corning's West High School, class of 1972. She was a huge fan of Disney World and the New York Yankees. She enjoyed taking morning walks before watching the many children she cared for daily. She enjoyed playing board games and spending time with her family, and was a staunch supporter of the Relay for Life for the past 7 years.

She is survived by her parents: Guy and Barbara McCutcheon; one brother: Stephen McCutcheon of Asheville, NC; twin sister: Karen (Michael) Reed of Painted Post; aunt: Cynthia Gilman of Fairport, NY; nephew: Kurt (Sarah) Reed of Corning; two nieces: Sara Everley of Conesus, NY and Reba McCutcheon of Ithaca, NY.

Sharon was predeceased by a sister, Lorrie Lee McCutcheon.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 1 - 3 PM at the Victory Highway Weslyan Church in Painted Post with the funeral following there at 3pm and Pastor Paul Piraino officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Painted Post.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 17 West Pulteney Street in Corning.1
