Thomas Alva Edison was born on 11 February 1847 in Milan, Ohio.²
Thomas spent three months in school. His mind often wandered, and his teacher was heard calling him 'addled'. So he was removed from school, and home-schooled by his mother.³
He married Mary Stillwell on 25 December 1871.²
He married Mina Miller on 24 February 1886 in Akron, Ohio.^2,3
Thomas Edison holds 1,093 US patents in his name, including the phonograph, the light bulb.³
