Richard Marden's family were recently poisoned by eating corn meal. They all recovered excepting Mrs. Marden who died from its effects. It is supposed that a piece of tin was in some way ground up with the corn. The balance of the meal will be subjected to chemical analysis.

His remains were first discovered by Mose Thibedeau, Jr. who made the report, when a vehicle was sent there, the remains brought to town and an inquest held. A verdict was returned - "death from the results of injuries received by being stricken by the engine of the north-bound Limited."
His relatives were telegraphed for and on Thursday his brothers Silas H. Marden of Ellsworth, and Charles and James Marden, of Nickerson, Minn. arrived here and took charge of his remains.
