Patricia Louise Nichols passed away on April 11, 2012, at her home in Fern Prairie. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing.
Patricia was born on April 17, 1930 in Albion, Nebraska to Clarence and Lulu Mae Maricle. She spent her childhood in Albion, graduating from Albion High School in 1947. After graduating Patricia moved west she met and married Robert H. Nichols on November 16, 1950.
She has spent her entire adult life in Camas, Washington. She had three sons and one daughter. She worked for Columbia River Trucking Co. for 25 plus years. She has been a longtime member of the Camas United Methodist Church.
Patricia's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren have brought her great joy. She was extremely friendly so she had many friends wherever she would go. Patricia loved traveling in her motor home and spent many winters in Yuma, Arizona. Her son Wayne, has been her caregiver since the passing of her husband eight years ago. The entire family has many fond memories of camping along side grandma's motor home and playing Skip Bo with her. Patricia was also an avid reader.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Nichols, her parents and her brothers. She is survived by her sister, Francis Burrows, sons, Robert (Carla), Wayne, Terry (Maria), daughter, Diana (John) Kaiser, ten grand children, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be visitation on Tuesday April 17, 2012 starting at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will be held in her honor on Wednesday April 18, 2012 at 12:30pm, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, following the service the family would like to invite everyone to the hospitality room to enjoy some light refreshments.2
