Gail Prudence Pratt of Stanwood, Michigan, formerly of Reed City, Michigan, entered eternal life on Friday, February 23, 2007 in Stanwood with her family at her side. She was 73 years old.
Gail was born in Burlington Township, Michigan to John Wilfred and Helena Naomi (Morey) DeMott on October 10, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate of Marshall High School.
Gail was employed with the Department of Defense in Battle Creek, Michigan, for ten years and later for the Michigan Employment Security Commission moving in 1976 from the Grand Rapids, Michigan, office to manage the Reed City office until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Reed City since 1980 and served as secretary and organist for many years.
Gail is survived by daughters, Karen Short of North Carolina, Kathie (Ken) Morrison of Georgia, Kim Babcock of California, Kristina Evans Cobb of West Virginia, Kay Evans Reagan of Georgia, and Jennifer Pratt of Stanwood; Her daughter-in-law, Kathy Pratt of Stanwood; Nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; Her brother, David (Leah) DeMott of Marshall; Her sister-in-law, Ruth DeMott of Jackson; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Patricia; and brother, John.
Visitation: Monday, February 26, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Pruitt-Livingston Funeral Home in Reed City. Funeral Services: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church in Reed City, with Rev. David Stanski officiating. Burial: Floral Lawn Cemetery, Battle Creek.
