Mrs. Allen came here with her family from New York in 1887 and was well known in this city. Mr. Allen preceded her in death in 1942. Also preceding her in death was a son Clarence who died during World War I, and a daughter, Mrs. Homer Cummings, in 1950. Surviving are the son Hugh, of Dearborn, five daughters, Lenora Stephens of Charlevoix, Clara Tellis, Lillian Tellis, Alta Newton, all of Detroit, Pauline Millar of Bloomfield Hills; a brother Ben Nephew; a sister Lenora Rauber, both of New York; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Hibbard Chapel, friday afternoon at three o'clock with Howard Towne of the First Congregational church officiating, and burial will be made in the family lot in Oakwood Cemetery."1

She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband Homer Cummins; her mother, Mrs. W. L.
