Diana Siddoway Richman 87, passed away June 27, 2014 in the Idaho Falls Hospital following a short illness.
Diana was born Aug. 22, 1926 in Teton City, Idaho the daughter of James Clarence and Ruth Bean Siddoway. She grew up in Teton City where she attended her elementary schooling, first in the old stone school, then in the stone church and then the new brick grade school. She attended Madison High School until her senior year when she went to St. Anthony where she graduated. She also attended the Colorado Women's College in Denver CO.
She married Bert B. Richman on Jan. 19, 1946 in Teton City, Idaho. They lived in Logan, UT.; Farmington, UT.; and Teton City, Idaho. Mr. Richman passed away in May of l992.
Diana was active in the LDS Church serving in various callings. She also served on the P.T.A. and was President of the Madison Republican Women and in l995 was appointed to the House of Representatives. She also served at the first woman president of the Rexburg Rotary Club. She served on the board of directors of the Developmental workshop.
She is survived by her children ; Mike (Lois) Richman, Nancy Richman both of Teton City, ID.; Megan (Bill) Howe, Salt Lake City, UT.; Mary (Matt) Richman, Tacoma, WA.; Jane Richman, Boise, ID.; Ruth (Dave) Langlois, Portland, OR.; a brother J. Theodore Siddoway, Santa Rosa, CA. and a sister in law Jeanne Siddoway St. Anthony, ID.; . 9 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren.
Besides her Parents and Husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Richman and 6 brothers - James Siddoway, Bill Siddoway, Denton Siddoway, Grant Siddoway, Forest "Bud" Siddoway and Jack Siddoway.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Teton First LDS Ward Chapel with Bp. Ryan Lerwill, officiating. Friends may call at the Bidwell Funeral Home in St. Anthony Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church Wednesday one hour prior to the time of services. Burial will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery. Family suggest contributions be made to the Developmental Workshop in Rexburg.
Jack Clarence Siddoway, 73, former resident of Teton, died September 3, 2003, in Santa Rosa, California, after a long illness. He was born March 9, 1930, in Rexburg, the youngest son of Clarence and Ruth B. Siddoway of Teton. He attended Teton elementary and graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1948. He attended Stanford University in California for a year before entering the U.S. Air Force in 1949 where he served as a radar instructor until 1954.
On December 20, 1951, he married Marilu Rule of St. Anthony. After leaving the Air Force, he attended the University of Utah and earned a master's degree in physics in 1962.
He obtained a position with Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, where he resided with his family for several years before retiring from there and then went into business for himself. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was also a member of the La Crescenta-La Canada Lions Club and had served as president.
He is survived by his wife, Marilu Rule Siddoway; daughters, Jennifer (Phil) Cabaud of Sonoma, California and Nannette McKee of Rohnert Park, California, a son Jonathan Craig Siddoway of Rohnert Park. His oldest son, Christopher Rule Siddoway, died September 5, 2003 in Spokane, Washington, two days after Jack's death. Other survivors include two brothers, Grant Siddoway of Teton City and J. Theodore Siddoway of San Francisco; and one sister, Diana Richman of Teton. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and three brothers, Raymond Kenneth "Bill" Siddoway, Denton Siddoway and Forest "Bud" Siddoway. A fourth brother, James W. Siddoway, died May 20 of this year.
Memorial services were held in the Teton LDS Church. Burial in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery with military rites performed by the Madison County Veterans Team.
