Funeral services for Dorothy Eldredge, 78, will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on 27 December 1996, in Salmon, Idaho.
Mrs. Eldredge passed away 20 December 1996 at her home in Salmon following a long battle with cancer. She was born 1 January 1918 in Carey, Idaho, a daughter of Morgan and Rosina Stewart Sparks. She grew up and attended school in Carey, graduating in 1936.
1 December 1937 she married Gail V. Eldredge in Rupert, idaho. Five children were born to this union. They lived in Carey until 1 December when they moved to Arco. 12 January 1955 their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. In February 1969 they moved to Gibbonsville, until January 1974 when they made their home in Salmon. Mr. Eldredge died 9 June 1974.
Dorothy worked for ten years at Casabello Nursing Home,then was employed at the Stagecoach Inn until she retired in 1987 due to illness. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by four children, Dora Cummings, Doris Pier, Jean Mathews and Larry Eldredge all of Salmon; 11 grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Stewart Sparks of Carey, Idaho and Morgan Neil Sparks of Boise. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gail, her son, Pierre Thomas; and her sister, Elsie.
Burial was in the Salmon City Cemetery.
On Sunday April 24, 2016 we lost our husband, father, brother and friend.
Duncan Carl Dedman was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on April 13, 1955 to Esther & Vern Dedman. He graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah. In the spring of 1976 Carl met the love of his life and later married Jolene Wallace on July 9, 1977. Together they had three children: Eric Vern (Kaylee), Laura Jolene and Stacy Carl.
Being a very passionate person, Carl had many loves, hobbies and talents in his life. He loved his family and was proud to carry the name Dedman. Many have known him to be a jack of all trades as a masterful artist, mechanic, carpenter, outdoorsman and all around handyman. He had an undying love for hot rods, being out in nature, whether it was fishing, hunting or camping, and never shied away from good music and loved a good party with family and friends!
He is preceded in death by his parents. Carl is survived by his eight siblings; his wife; three children; and first granddaughter, Maddison Jolee.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday April 28, 2016 t Rosenau Funeral Home, 2826 Addison Ave E. Funeral services will be held on Friday April 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Rosenau Funeral Home with a viewing starting at 10 am. Interment will take place at the Richfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home.
