Milton F. Marsh, 77, of Lempster, NH died on Monday, September 25, 2000 at his home after a brief illness.
Mr. Marsh was born on October 30, 1922 in Marlboro, MA, the son of the late Leon and Cora (Sargeant) Marsh. He worked for the Raytheon Corporation in Wayland, MA for over 30 years while residing in Sudbury, MA. And then moved to Lempster, NH in 1986 after his retirement. Milton was an active member of the East Lempster Community Church. He served on the Lempster Conservation Commission and was an avid gardener and wildlife enthusiast.
Family members include his wife of 51 years, Carol (Moffitt); two daughters, Catherine Marsh of Melrose, MA and Judith Young of Swanzey, NH; two sons, Andrew Marsh of Greenfield, NH and Clifford Marsh of Center Barnstead, NH; 7 grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 1, 2000 at 2:00 PM at East Lempster Community Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to East Lempster Community Church, Lempster, NH 03605 or Lake Sunapee Home Care and Hospice, P O Box 2209, New London, NH 03257.
eorge Franklin Sargent, of South Weymouth, age 85, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Jan 16, 2014. George was survived by his wife of 53 years Jean (McCafferty) Sargent, his children, Stephen G. Sargent of Hull, Mary Ellen Palmer and her husband Donald of Abington and Donald P. Sargent of Raynham and his grandsons, Joseph Edward and Andrew Michael Sargent both of Raynham. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. George is predeceased by his sister Evelyn Rexford and his brother Arthur Bud Sargent. George was a lifelong resident of Weymouth and a Weymouth Town Meeting Member for 40 years. He was the owner of the George F. Sargent Electrician Company for 35 years. George served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Weymouth for 50 years. A funeral service was held at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) So. Weymouth on Monday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours was on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Weymouth at a later date.
