“Albert Bryan, 26 years of age, died yesterday morning of tuberculosis at the home of Frank H. Deppe, 1317 North Polk street. The funeral will be held from Conwell’s undertaking parlors Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will take place in the Rochester cemetery.”
Kind of a hard luck story as you can see from the death notice. He married Olga Myrtle Alice (Metzger) Forrester, a widow with two children in 1909, and then he died less than a year later. He was living as a boarder in Ozawkie Township, Jefferson County, KS in the 1900 census with a William Deppe and family. Ironically, his future wife was living with her father as boarders in the same household in that same census. Have yet to find his parents but the 1900 census states that he was born in Kansas and his father in Ohio. Trying to determine if perhaps he was related to the Deppe family.
