Fred Scott Sawyer was a civil engineer1910.³
He was born on 8 December 1882 in Chicago, Illinois.^1,4
In 1903 Fred, as a freshman at the University of Illinois, was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity - with his brother George. Also in 1903 he was President of his Class.⁵
He graduated from University of Illinois, Illinois, in 1905.⁵
He married Edith Spray on 6 February 1909 in Cook County, Illinois.^4,3,6
He and Edith appeared on the 1910 US Federal Census of 313 10th Ave N., Seattle, King County, Washington, enumerated on 22 April 1910. They rent their home.³
In 1942 Fred lived at Phipps Lane, Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.⁷
He died on 12 September 1965 in Whitemarsh, Pennsylvania, at age 82.⁴
