kroghm Obituary: Rollin E. Chisholm passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in Tucson, Ariz., surrounded by his children. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Muriel in 1982. He was born May 17, 1925, to Maude and Guy Chisholm in Malden, Mass. Rollin served in 171st Engineered Combat Battalion from 1943 to 1946 and entered Tufts University, from where he graduated 1949. He worked at IBM from 1949 to 1953 and subsequently moved to Connecticut and worked at Stanley Works as an industrial engineer. He retired from Stanley Works in 1988 after 35 years. He was an active member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Rollin spent many years active in the Boy Scouts of America. He was a longtime summer resident of Eastham, Mass. He was predeceased by his companion of 20 years, Dorothy Simpson. Rollin leaves behind his son, Russell Chisholm (Dee) of San Diego, Calif.; his daughter, Terry Kuen of Tucson, Ariz.; his daughter, Betsy James (Glenn) of Marietta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, Pete (Erin), Lee, Jessica, Emily, Kyle, Hannah and Sam. He is survived by his brother, Donald Chisholm (Betty) of Silver Springs, Md. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, knowledge of auto mechanics, interest in model cars and love of family. He will be greatly missed by his family.
