Elliott Sr., Charles H.

"Chuck"

Age 88, late of Lockport, Thursday, November 27, 2008 at his residence with his family by his side. Born in Joliet, life long Lockport resident.

Retired from J.P. Miler Artesian Well Co. in 1982 after 30 years. of service.

He was a WWII US Army Veteran, life member of the Lockport VFW Post # 5788, American Legion John Olson Post #18 and Midwest Operating Engineers Union Local #150.

For many years, Chuck was a private airplane pilot, enjoying traveling with his wife. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cubs and Bears.

Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Irene (Godfrey) Elliott; and a brother, Ray Elliott.

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 61 years, Lena (Bianco); children, Charles H. Jr. (Lorene) of Morris, Carol (Dan) De Caprio of Manhatten and Michael Elliott of Naperville; eight grandchildren, Shane (Jenifer), Devon (Jennifer), Rory, Ian, Colin Elliott, Scott, Carrie and Darcie De Caprio; five great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tyson, Brandon, Korynne and Colton Elliott; sisters-in-law; brother-in-law; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Special thanks to Joliet Area Community Hospice and caregiver Andrei Ivakhnenko.

In lieu of flowers donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10:00 am in the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1105 E. 9th ST., LOCKPORT with Fr. Vitas Memenas officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.

Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm.
