William Glenmore McRae, 49, died Friday at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 9 at Griffin-Leggett-Haley-Roth Funeral Home in Little Rock with the Rev. George Gunn officiating.
Graveside services were held in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with the Rev. Howard Allen officiating.
Mr. McRae was a native of Lexington and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Edward A. (Frances W.) McRae of Little Rock, Ark., and one brother, Edward Walton McRae of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Elizabeth Emerson Downs
Mrs. Elizabeth Emerson McRae Downs, age 87, resident of Greenwood, died of heart failure Sunday, July 3, 1994 at Pemberton Manor in Greenwood.
A Holmes County native, Mrs. Downs was a former Lexington resident and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. She also was a member of Order of the Eastern Star in Lexington and the Garden Club in Lexington. She was an avid bridge player, a homemaker, and widow of John Downs.
Mrs. Downs is survived by sons, Lon Downs of French Camp, John W. "Bill" Downs of Greenwood, Frank Downs of Ashland City, Tennessee and Edward M. "Ned" Downs of Brook, Virginia; her daughter, Mrs. Katherine Vita of Richland, Washington; her brother, Urvin McRae of Carthage; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Southern Funeral Home in Lexington was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to French Camp Academy in French Camp; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 N. Lauderdale St., Memphis, Tennessee 38105; or the American Cancer Society's Mississippi Division, 1380 Livingston Lane, Jackson 39213.

Mrs Van Foster McRae, 92, formerly of Carthage, MS passed away on Friday, January 28, 2011. She was a resident of The Blake in Ridgeland, MS. Mrs. McRae was a native of Holmes County, MS and a resident of Carthage for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Urvin; and her sister, Dot French.
She is survivd by her daughter, Dot Jaubert (Corbett) of Jackson, MS; and sons, Tommy McRae (gayle) of Collierville, TN and James McRae (Gloria) of Carthage, MS; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at the Carthage United Methodist Church from 12 to 2 pm on Tuesday, February 1 ith a memorial service at 2 pm.
