Judith (Trott) Powell
81, passed away December 3, 2016 in Louisville.
She was born to Roland and Mildred (Campbell) Trott on April 2, 1935.
Judith was a Homemaker, and a member of City Road Chapel Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pat Earl Powell; and a sister, Gretchen Boog.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rebecca Wood (Michael), James N. Powell (Mary), Patrick G. Powell (Sheryl), and Rachelle M. Dodds (Howard);
Nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a brother, Samuel M. Trott (Barbara)
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 12:00PM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation is Wednesday 9:30AM-12:00PM.
Harold, 84, of Bannister, MI, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI.
Funeral Services were held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Saturday, January 28, 2017 with Mr. Thomas Bradley officiating.
Harold was the son of Ernest and Elsie (Anderson) Boog. He was a graduate of Ashley High School with the class of 1951. Harold served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War in the 15th Radio Squadron Mobile. Harold married Gretchen Trott on October 6, 1956 in Bath, ME. 0 She passed away on July 4, 2005.
Harold retired from Federal Mogul after 33 and a half years, he also was a farmer. He enjoyed playing cards, gardening, fishing, hunting and golfing. Harold was a gifted storyteller.
Harold and Gretchen loved traveling together across the country to spend time with their grandchildren. Harold resided all of his life in Bannister.
He is survived by his son Harold and Ariadne Boog of Olathe, KS, daughter Judith and Tom Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI, daughter Sandra and Douglas Parks of Baltimore, MD, 10 grand children, brother Stan Boog of Flint, MI, sister Betty Martin of Mason, MI, and brother Michael and Margie Boog of Fowler, MI.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Samuel on January 2, 2013, 4 brothers; Ernest Boog Jr., Robert Boog, Dale Boog and Carl Boog and sister Doris Boog.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
Samuel, 53, of Bannister, Michigan passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
A Memorial Service was held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI on Monday, January 7, 2013. Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate.
Samuel was the son of Harold D. and Gretchen (Trott) Boog. Sam resided most of his life in the Bannister area and was a graduate of Ashley High School. Sam enjoyed working on old cars, and riding his motorcycle. Spending time with his friends was very important to him.
He is survived by his father Harold D. Boog of Bannister, MI, brother Harold M. and Ariadne Boog of Ann Arbor, MI, 2 sisters; Judith T. and Tom Brooks of Ypsilanti, MI, and Sandra E. and Douglas Parks of Baltimore, MD. Sam is also survived by his nieces & nephews and numerous aunts & uncles.
Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Gretchen on July 4, 2005.
Memorials may be made to the Gratiot Area Hospice.
POWELL, PAT EARL, 73, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2005. He was a native of Rineyville, KY, a retired master sergeant in the US Air Force and a veteran of the Korean War. He was also retired from civil service at Fort Knox. He was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Judith (Trott) Powell; four children, Rebecca Wood (Michael), James Noel Powell (Mary), Patrick Glenn Powell (Sheryl) and Rachelle Marie Dodds (Howard); and nine grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday.
