Dorothy "Dottie" A. Wolfley, age 86 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2016. She was born in Detroit, MI to the late Mr. and Mrs. Woerner. After graduating high school in Indianapolis, she married John W. Wolfley, who later went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Dorothy retired from Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, OH after many years as a laboratory technician. While living in Zanesville, she and her husband enjoyed playing bridge and won many tournaments doing so. Dorothy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Wolfley in 2009 and brother, Delmarr Woerner.
Dorothy leaves behind to cherish her memory, 2 children, John Steven "Steve" (Myra) Wolfley and Kathryn "Kitty" (T.L.) Drake; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 1pm.
Private family interment to follow at later date at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's memory to Central Presbyterian Church, Zanesville, OH.
