Ephraim Wheeler was baptized on 16 March 1618/19 in Cranfield, Bedfordshire, England.¹
He immigrated to Massachusetts about 1638.¹
He was said to have come from England with Rev. John Jones and settled in Concord MA.
Ephraim was admitted freeman on 13 March 1639 in Boston, Massachusetts.¹
He married Anne Wells, daughter of William Wells and Agnes Tapp, about 1640 in Concord, Massachusetts, probably.¹
In 1644 Ephraim and Anne moved to Fairfield, Connecticut, with the Jones company. He became a large landholder and leading citizen.¹
He died on 28 October 1670 in Fairfield, Connecticut.²

Will

Ephraim Wheeler left a will dated in 1669 in Fairfield, Connecticut, Inventory £1026.18.6. Widow Ann paid tax on 706 acres of land in 1681.

This William Fowler is thought to have been the one mentioned in "History of the Puritans" Chapter 8 as imprisoned with others in Bridewell London in 1592.
William had a classical education.
He immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1637 coming with Rev. John Davenport.
In 1640 he was Lieutenant of the first company of militia.
He was the founder of the oldest mill in the colony.
In 1643 he was chosen magistrate by the colony of New Haven. He held the position of Chief Magistrate for 7 years. (See Tablet No 1 Memorial Bridge.)
William moved to Milford, Connecticut, He was an old man when he settled in Milford.
He was one of the pillars of the church in Milford Connecticut.
He died in 1662 at age ~82.
