Samuel Wolcott was born on 16 April 1656 in Windsor, Connecticut.^1,2
Samuel owned a large piece of land a mile west of Wethersfield where he built a one room house on a hill, his sons built nearby and the hill became known as Wolcott Hill. On the site of Samuel's first house, George Webb built a large home, incorporating Samuel's earlier house into the rear wing. General Washington used Webb's house for his Wethersfield headquarters.¹
He married Judith Appleton, daughter of Samuel Appleton and Hannah Paine, on 6 March 1678.^1,3
Samuel Wolcott was a constable.¹
In 1681 his Negro servant was executed for burning a house down.¹
In 1685 a representative to the General Court.¹
In 1690 he was taken to court by Hugh Peck who accused his master of beating him. A complaint was also taken out for beating his Indian servant Shumackpock.¹
He died in 1695 in Wethersfield, Connecticut, at age ~39.¹
Inventory of his estate was taken £1,137.¹

Biography

Nathaniel Loomis was born about 1626.^1,2
Nathaniel lived in Messing, Essex, England.¹
He immigrated on the ship. Susan and Ellen arriving on 17 July 1638 in Boston, Massachusetts, with his parents.³
He married Elizabeth Moore, daughter of John Moore, on 24 November 1653.
Nathaniel and Elizabeth lived in Windsor, Connecticut.⁴
Nathaniel was admitted freeman in 1654 and was admitted to the Church 3 May 1663.⁴
He was a member of the Windsor Troop of Horse in King Philips War (1675-78).⁴
He died on 19 August 1688 in Windsor, Connecticut, at age ~62.¹

Will

Nathaniel Loomis left a will dated on 17 August 1688 It is preserved at Hartford and signed by him.⁴

She married Nathaniel Loomis, son of Joseph Loomis and Mary White, on 24 November 1653.
Nathaniel and Elizabeth lived in Windsor, Connecticut.²
Her husband Nathaniel Loomis died leaving her a widow at age ~62.³
She married John Case estimated 1692.⁴
She died on 23 July 1728 at age ~93.
