"Meadville Club Pro Dies of Crash Injuries" Meadville, Aug 27 - Jack M. Keillor, 43-year-old golf professional at the Meadville Country Club, well known by the golfers of the Titusville area, died this morning in Spencer Hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile wreck Sunday night.
Mr. Keillor, who lived at Saegerstown, Route J, died of a fractured skull suffered when his car was in collision with an automobile... The crash occured in front of Keillor's home as the golf pro was turning left from the highway to enter his driveway.....
Mr. Keillor joined the Meadville club in 1930. He long was active in district and regional professional and open golf tournaments. He participated in the old northwestern Pennsylvania professional tournaments. In recent years he limited his playing to exhibitions with visiting professionals. Last year he played with Joe Kirkwood, nationally known player, and Tony Lyons, Jamestown pro.
He started his golfing career as a caddie at the Pittsburgh Country Club.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Francis Keillor: two sons, James and John: a stepdaughter, Susan Stewart; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry B. Keillor of Pittsburgh: and a brother, George, professional at Punxsutawney.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fleming Mortuary where friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
