- Henry Wolcott and Elizabeth Saunders immigrated on the ship Mary and John arriving on 31 May 1630 in Dorchester, Massachusetts.1
- Their two daughters and youngest son arrived a few years later. Apparently the family was motivated by strong Puritan religious beliefs. Henry may have been influenced also by Simon Venn of Lydiard St. Lawrence, who Henry later appointed as overseer of his property he inheirited at Tolland. Simon was a brother of John Venn of London, one of the partners in the Massachusets Bay Company in 1628 and 1629. As a result of his political activity (viz the Puritan movement) he felt the need to leave. He wold his estate Galden Manor for £8000 and moved to Boston in 1630.1,2
- In 1636 Henry and Elizabeth moved to Windsor, Connecticut.1
- He appeared on the England Census, enumerated between 1637 and 1642,Henry was a member of the CT House of Delegates, and was a member of the House of Magistrates from 1643 until his death.1
- He died in 1655 in Windsor, Connecticut, at age ~77.1
- He was buried in churchyard of First Congregational Church, Windsor, Connecticut.1
