Berna Dimmick Davies 1924 ~ 2010 Our dear mother and grandmother, Berna Dimmick Davies said goodbye to her earthly family and friends and said a joyous hello to her husband and other loved ones waiting for her beyond the veil on October 5, 2010. She was born in Greenwood, Utah on July 10, 1924 to Francis Marion and Harriet Annie Hanson Dimmick. After many back fence apple throwing battles, she married her sweetheart, Murray E. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother, Merlin Dimmick and sister, Margaret Winter. Those closest to her heart were her 35 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Berna had a caring heart and always opened her doors to those needing a home or a place to stay. She cared for a number of foster children including two in the placement program. She was a lifelong stalwart in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous callings and assignments, including Relief Society President for three different terms. She served three missions: first in the Micronesia-Guam Mission and two in the Cove Fort Mission. She also enjoyed serving as an ordinance worker in the Manti Temple.
