Arthur L. Watts was born December 28, 1920 in Watertown, MA. The son of Arthur L. Watts and Eva Bruce Watts. He graduated from Bates College, Lewiston, ME in 1942 and enlisted in the Naval Air Corps, flying Hellcat fighter planes off the carrier Cowpens in the Pacific.
After the war he joined Aetna Life and Causality Ins. Co., marketing Group Insurance and Pension Plans, working in Worcester, MA, Grand Rapids, MI, Detroit, MI, New York City and retired as Vice President of the Central region in Chicago, IL.
Upon retirement he moved to River Hills Plantation, Lake Wylie, SC and later to The Forest at Duke in Durham, NC.
He is survived by his wife, Lois J. Watts; sons George Bryant Watts and Richard Allen Watts; grandchildren Victoria Watts Long, George Bryant Watts, Jr., Teresa Watts Ebersole, and Jennifer Watts Adie.
His brothers Philip Watts and Robert Watts predeceased him.
