Nancy Marinda Wamsley was born on 11 December 1839 in Chipping, Lancashire, England.^2,3
Father: Thomas Wamsley - Mother: Ann Elizabeth Hodgkinson.²
Nancy's mother was the first woman to be baptized in the Mormon Church in England.²
She immigrated to America in 1842 with her parents, settling in Missouri where they were persecuted.²
Nancy remembered seeing Joseph Smith and hearing him speak. They were living in Carthage Missouri in 1844 when he was killed.²
In 1849 Nancy moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, with her mother.²
She married James Heber Dimick, son of Thomas Jefferson Dimick and Mary Ann Gates, in August 1858 in Salt Lake City, Utah.¹
James and Nancy were very active in church work.²
In 1914 one year after her husband diedo she broke her leg and was confined to her room.²
Nancy Marinda Wamsley died on 30 March 1922 in Wardboro, Idaho, at age 82 at the home of her daughter Mary Jane.¹
