William Seward Pierson left a will dated on 25 March 1872 in Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut, In his will he names people who were named after him. Possibly neices/nephews: Evie Pierson Swenson, William Pierson Beckley, William Pierson Sargeant.

Written March 25, 1872
1. To my wife Mary E. Pierson in lieu of dower, $30,000. In case of her death it shall go to Abby P. Peck and Caroline M. Beers.
2. My wife has inherited from her grandfather Isaac Mills lands worth $10,000. It has been mixed with mine.
3. To my wife Mary E. Pierson the use of my house and homestead as long as she remains single. In case of her remarriage, it goes to my sister Olma Pierson.
4. All the residue I bequeath to my executors in trust. My wife is to receive $4000 per year. In case of remarriage she is to receive $2000.
5. To Abby P. Peck, sister of my wife, $100 per year during lifetime of my wife. If she dies, it shall be paid to her children.
6. To Caroline M. Beers, $100 per year during the lifetime of my wife.
7. To the children of Isaac M. Beers, deceased, brother of my wife, $100 per year to be divided equally among said children during lifetime of my wife.
8. I devise in trust $100 each per year to Sallie M. Mills, Laura C. Mills, and Esther Hurd Mills, children of General Henry Mills and Caroline M. Mills during the lifetime of my wife. Upon the death of my wife, $1000 shall be paid to them.
9. I devise in trust $50 each to Evie Pierson Swenson, William Pierson Beckley and William Pierson Sargeant, who were named after me, during the lifetime of my wife. After her death pay them $1000.
10. To the children of my sister Lydia P. Dexter and Julia P. Allen, $100 per year.
11. The remainder of my estate is to be divided annually in equal portions to my sisters Lydia P. Dexter, Olma Pierson, and Nancy S. Spaulding, or their survivors.
12. Since my sister Julia P. Allen and her children require a certain income, she is to be paid $2000 per year.
13. I appoint Rufus P. Spaulding, Samuel H. Allen, Edwin D. Dexter, Bennett A. Allen, and Herbert R. Coffin Executors.
