Louise Hart
GEORGETOWN ? Louise Hart, 101, of Georgetown, formerly of Olivet, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman.
She was born Nov. 11, 1902, in Westville, the daughter of August and Aldolphine Buckley Dufour. She married Ted Hart on Dec. 20, 1921. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1977.
Survivors include: one son, Robert (Martha) Hart of Olivet; one daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Pape of Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three daughters, one son, six brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson.
Louise was a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Royal Neighbors. She was also a member of the Euchre Club in Georgetown. Louise's hobbies were crocheting, sewing, flowers, and loving lots of friends.
She worked many years at the Grab it Here Store, Szilagyi's Store, and the Sewing Factory.
A celebration of Louise's life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Officiating: Steve Rutter. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation: 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday Feb. 4, 2004. Memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ in Georgetown.
ROBERT L. ‘BOB’ HART
GEORGETOWN — Robert L. “Bob” Hart, 79, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
He was born in Westville on Jan. 18, 1927, the son of Ted and Louise (Dufour) Hart. On Nov. 15, 1950, Bob married Martha (Caudill) Hart in Robinson. She survives. Others who also will miss him include: his sons, Randy (Debbie) Hart, of Georgetown, Steve (Melanie) Hart of St. Louis, Mo., Tim (Lois) Hart of Olivet, Bryan (Renee) Hart of Georgetown and Ted (Kelly) Hart of Charleston; his two daughters, Susan (Larry) Glascott of Georgetown and Betsy (Tim) Serd of Walker, La.; his 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five stepgreat-grandchildren; and his sister Bonnie (Larry) Pape of Jacksonville, Fla. His parents, his brother, Ted Jr., his three sisters, Connie Waterman, Linda Hart and Adele Hart, and one grandson, Travis Hart, preceded Bob in death.
Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1946-47 during World War II. After the service, Bob was employed with the Conrail Rail Road Company, retiring after 43 years of service. He was a member of the Russell Masonic Lodge 154 of Georgetown and a former Georgetown school board member, serving 1959-64. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
A celebration of Bob’s life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Sunset’s Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home located at 200 E. West St. in Georgetown. Final resting place will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Pastor James Walker will officiate the service. Visitation will be held between 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
