Survived by his wife, Beth of Gilmer; sons, Melvin Carl Atwood, Salt Lake City; and David Kent Atwood, Gilmer; daughters, Donna Cuzick, Hawthorne, Nevada; Vickie Rae Atwood, Gilmer; and Carla Shirley, Gilmer; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and sister, Mona Jenkins, Huntington Beach, California. Preceded in death by daughter, Betty Ann.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 1997 at Lakeview Memorial Estates, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, where friends may call on Wednesday, September 3, 1997 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
