Thelma Harvey
Thelma Harvey 1926 ~ 2009 Thelma Bartholomew Harvey, 83, passed away due to a heart attack on March 12, 2009 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.She was born on January 21, 1926 in Fayette, Utah and lived in Gunnison for the first years of her life. Thelma's family moved to Mayfield, Utah when she was a child and she attended Mayfield Elementary School through the 9th grade. She graduated from Manti High School and moved to Salt Lake City, to work at the Fort Douglas Post Exchange where she met John Harvey, who was serving in the Army. Thelma married John Harvey in Mayfield on October 13, 1945 and raised their family in Salt Lake City. They have three children, Patricia Ann; Debra Jean (Terry King); Steven John (Cassandra Turner); 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchil-dren. Thelma is surived by her children, husband and her sister, Afton Wynard. Thelma is preceded by her parents, Jesse and Dora Bartholomew; brothers, Shirley and Gail Bartholomew; sisters, Virginia Thomas and Gloria Kelly. Memorial services will be held on March 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 87 East and 7100 South in Midvale, Utah.

1922 ~ 2010
John Irving Harvey, 88, died July 20, 2010 from a massive heart attack. He put up a courageous battle against cancer and the after effects of cancer.
He was born in Highland Park, IL on July 9, 1922, and raised by his stepfather and mother, Olaf and Irma Ulricksen. He served honorably in World War II in the U.S. Army. Upon discharge, he married Thelma Bartholomew, Oct. 1, 1945 in Mayfield, Utah.
He has three children, Patricia A. Baker, Debi King (Terry), and Steven Harvey (Cassandra Turner). He has ten grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and one great-great grand child.
He worked for 30 + years at Ringsby United and South Eastern Utilities Ice Co., in management, retiring from both. He was a loving father and friend. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Harvey, and survived by all three of his children. John was a feisty character, who always enjoyed talking with everyone. He will be sorely missed by all of us.
A memorial service will be held at the Midvale East 4th Ward, 87 East 7100 South, Midvale, at 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 26, 2010. There will not be a viewing. John has chosen to be cremated.
