"Mrs D B Hitchcock - The death of Mrs D B Hitchcock occurred at 2 am , Dec 24, at her home in Lander, Warren county, after an illness of several months, although she was confined to her bed for only a few days. Mrs Hitchcock was born in Wattsburg, Oct 13, 1857. She was married to D B Hitchcock, Feb 24,1881. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children: Belmar D, Stephen C, Ward P Hitchcock and Mrs A G Peterson, all of Lander, and Ford J Hitchcock of Jamestown, NY. Also four brothers, who are Frank, William and Guy Rouse of Union City, and Perry Rouse of Colorado."

Ford E. Hitchcock, 66, of Russell, Pennsylvania, died Tuesday morning at 9:37 AM, September 13th, 2005 at the Warren General Hospital Emergency Room after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born June 28th, 1939 in Jamestown, New York to the late Willard and Edith Morrison Hitchcock. He had resided in Russell, Pennsylvania, for the past 20 years moving there from Frewsburg, New York. He was a self-employed farmer and a carpenter. He attended Lander United Methodist Church. He was president of Sugar Grove Senior Center, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758. He was an avid card and domino player. He enjoyed carpentry work, watching his grandchildren in sporting events and writing in his daily journal. He had served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964 serving in Germany.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stanton Hitchcock whom he married June 10th, 2003 at the Lander United Methodist Church, Lander, Pennsylvania, as well as for children, three stepchildren, two sisters, three brothers, eight grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM Saturday at the Lander United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wade Barto, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. 304 East St. , Warren, Pennsylvania, from 2 to 4 PM and seven to 9 PM Friday and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Thompson Hill Cemetery, where full military honors will be conducted by members of the Clarendon and Sheffield Veterans of Foreign Wars.
