Rolland Henry Comstock, 67, a former Marshall resident, died Sunday morning at his home near Union City, of a stroke of apoplexy which he suffered Saturday afternoon and from which he never regained consciousness. He had been in failing health since last May.
Mr. Comstock was born in Albion, July 30, 1871, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Comstock. On Nov. 21, 1896, he married Miss Laura Luff in this city. He spent most of his life as a farmer near Marshall, moving to a farm near Union City in November 1935.
Besides his widow he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Charles Sengstock and Mrs. Harold Lawrence of Chicago, and Mrs. Kenneth Dowding of Charlotte, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday at the Kelser-More funeral home with the Rev. H.E. Wylie of the Union City Methodist Episcopal church in charge. Interment will take place in Oakridge Cemetery.
