Marvin W. Milburn, better known to his loved ones and friends as "Peanut," 76, of Windsor, Ohio passed away early Sunday morning, January 11, 2009 at UHHS Heather Hill Nursing Care Facility. He was born April 11, 1932 at Berkeley Springs, W.Va., the son of Marvin N. and Edna P. (Lipscomb) Milburn.
Mr. Milburn served with the Merchant Marine, he was a member of Orwell Gun Club, enjoyed gardening, especially growing tomatoes and hunting. He will also be missed for his spectacular sense of humor and generosity. He was always packing up a bag of his homegrown delights for someone else's enjoyment.
Mr. Milburn is survived by his wife Shirley, who he married August 25, 1955 in LaGrange, Indiana; children: Marvin W. (Helen) Milburn of Windsor, Boyd Milburn of Hobart, Oklahoma, Mark Steven (Gayle) Milburn of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Diane Pan of Monrovia, California, Sandra Milburn of Monrovia, California, William (Becky) Milburn of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia; a brother, Robert Milburn of Great Cacapon, West Virginia, grandchildren, Melissa, Heather, Tonya, Miles, Gibson, Chris and Theresa, great grandson Walter and several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents and a sister Doris Gamble precede him.
In keeping with Mr. Milburn's wishes he will be cremated with a celebration of his life at a later date. Pop received his visit from the "All White Man." Rev. 1:8, 13-15.
