Mr. Roy Robert "Bob" Fagg, 88 years, of Sarcoxie, Mo., departed this life on Monday morning, Nov. 5, 2007, at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie.
Bob entered this life on Dec. 29, 1918, in Avilla, Mo., born to the late Homer A. and Barbara (Baker) Fagg. He was a Carthage High School graduate.
On Dec. 5, 1941, he was united in marriage to Anna Francis Berry and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. Bob was a loving father and husband. He took great pride in his family and strived to be a good provider.
Bob was an entrepreneur of sorts. He enjoyed a new adventure and was constantly looking for that fresh opportunity through his employment. Bob worked in the shoe manufacturing business around the Sarcoxie and Carthage, Mo., areas. He also worked for the Frisco Railroad out of Carthage. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He took great pleasure in the outdoors and could often be found on the bank of a nearby pond. Bob was a devoted member of the Presbyterian Church of Sarcoxie and was occasionally called upon to preach at some of the local country churches. Bob had a loving and kind spirit and he will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Francis Fagg; a grandson, Bobby Agan; three brothers, Lloyd, Leo and Max Fagg; and a sister, Madge Cadwell. Bob is survived by a daughter, Betty Agan and husband, Bob, of Sarcoxie; two sons, Gary Fagg and wife, Vicki, of Springfield, Mo., and Dick Fagg and wife, Barbara, of Sarcoxie; four grandchildren, Chad Fagg and wife, Heather, of Springfield, Barbara Hettinger and husband, Scott, of Webb City, Mo., Cade Fagg and wife, Britney, of Carthage, and Michael Fagg, of Lexington, Ky.; six great-grandchildren, Trey Laveroni, Baylee Laveroni, Gracie Fagg, Grant Fagg, Anna Hettinger and Cooper Fagg; a sister, Leah Breeze, of Carthage; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Roy Robert "Bob" Fagg are 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel in Sarcoxie. Burial will follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Chad Fagg, Cade Fagg, Michael Fagg, Trey Laveroni, Bill McNeece and Larry Velten. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
